Healing the Land prayer continues

in Archdiocesan News

Chief Justice Mogoeng, in coopetation with others, has started a 50-day ‘Healing the Land Prayer’ project for South Africa on 12 April 2020. The following is an extension of that project.

FELLOW SOUTH AFRICANS THERE IS A CALL…

Let the worshippers arise

Let the sons and the daughters sing…

Just as the people sang in Brazil from their apartments and balconies: “Because He lives I can live tomorrow…”

We’d like to do something similar in South Africa as a nation…

We’d like to make a call on all fellow South African citizens to worship Abba Father, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

As from today, every evening at 8pm (20h00) let us WORSHIP, let a sound arise, let us proclaim Jesus is alive! Let us take hands and lift up the name above all names: Jesus, the King of all Kings.

Here are a few worship song suggestions:

  1. How Great Is Our God

  1. Waymaker

  1. Raise A Hallelujah

https://youtu.be/G2XtRuPfaAU

  1. Amazing Grace

  1. Because He Lives

https://youtu.be/oPW9xYEyijQ

So at 8pm tonight (and every night thereafter) please play the song(s) with the volume up and sing along. Open the doors and windows of your houses that we may fill the streets of South Africa with worship and glorify God!

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord ! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

Psalms 95:1-2 NKJV

Then in closing please PRAY (or sing https://youtu.be/lsPeGqfpVcs) The Lord’s Prayer (Our Father):

In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV

Arise South Africa!
