On Easter Sunday, the Regina Mundi Peace and Justice group was host to 11 teachers from Australia who are involved in Justice and Peace in their schools. After a joyful celebration of Mass, visitors where shown around Regina Mundi Church. The group went to St. Matthews High School where everyone was impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds, the size of the library and the other learning areas.
From there, the group went to the Openheimer Towers and Credo Mutwa. Lunch was held at a traditional African restaurant. We proceeded to Hector Peterson Museum.
The visitors are involved in teaching. They are based all over, in Canberra, Brisbane, Victoria etc. Some are the Peace and Justice Coordinators in their own schools, some are working with aboriginal people, others with migrants. Some teach children in buses, others train children from privileged schools and share their wealth with those less fortunate.
