It is the youth who will receive the torch from the elders
The risen Christ sent his disciples forth to bear witness to His saving presence before all the nations, Now, let us make God’s desire our own! World Youth Day pilgrims – open your eyes and look around you. So many young people no longer see any meaning in their lives. The “nations” that we are invited to reach out to on youth day are not only other countries in the world – they are also the different areas of our lives, such as our families, communities, places of study and work and friends. The Chancery staff gathered on Tuesday 15 January to pray and thank God for the wonderful service that Sr (TM) Teresa Marie has given in the Archdiocese throughout her 50 years of religious life. Fr Thabo Motshegoa celebrated the Mass, with Frs Stanley Masilompana and Paul Beukes concelebrating. In his homily, Fr Stanley applauded Sr TM on the wonderful service she continues giving to God and His people and hoped she would remain an inspiration to all.
Fr Thabo described Sr TM as a pioneer of Spred. He said that in the 50 years, Sr TM served in God’s ministry and had lived a life of discipleship. The ADNews department wishes to congratulate Sr TM on her years of loving service in religious life.
